"If Money is lost, something is lost.
But if Character is lost, everything is lost!"
I was 13 when i made a judgement, seeing this quote on my school wall, that Money is everything, as it lets us buy all that we wish to have; take us to various places of Earth; give us respect, power and recognition in the society! I didn't know if i was right, or wrong.
But now, i'm 23 and 'Time' took me on a travel of 10 long years... to make me realize that i was wrong, when i was 13!
As a starter, i would like to take the example of Indian Politicians. Not because i am here to judge them, but just to make things a bit free-flowing.
Well aren't they rich? Aren't they recognizable and don't they possess power and status in our country? Yes they do, but aren't 95% of them hated by the people of India? Of course nobody can rule a country as big as India, with moral values, but aren't some of them trying to do it right? So, its clear that i was wrong in thinking that its Money, but not Character... which earns you Respect!
Anyway, its not about them. Its about those people who gets mocked by us everyday for sticking to moral values and living their life on their own, without bothering others. Its about those people who prefer temples to pubs; tradition to modernization; truth to lies; trust with one to fun with many; and have limitations to their limits!! We generally come across such people everyday and think, "Aah! This guy doesn't know how to live!" or "Go, get a life dude!". But as time passes by, we realize that it is not the former people who lacks life, but the latter ones who actually lost it!
What matters for a 'Better Future' is a 'Flawless Past', but not a 'Flaunting Present'!! Of course we are not here to judge someone by their deeds. But one should judge his own self and be true to his own conscience. Doing something, which you think is not right, and consoling yourself that its right... will not make it right!
There is always time, to mend your deeds and be good to someone, whom you expect to be good to you!! A relationship should always be one-way and so, there's no point in expecting your partner to be right, when you are on left. You should be on right too, to get your relation run smoothly and steadily!
With good character, comes great peace of mind, which will be the oxygen for a happy life!!
We might accept someone coming out a Benz and is a Bitch, for a day. But as time passes by... We would only prefer someone on a Bike but is Best!! Wont we?
