(: My Mark Prevails, on my Friends :)

Saturday, October 6, 2012

I was a very successful King once...! :D
But have lost a very major part of my Kingdom (My Life) and my People (My Friends)... in the Recent times...! :(

Now... the only thing left is to, defend the remaining Kingdom and its People, by all means, with the help of my Minister (My Brain) and my Knight (My Heart)...!!
* ----------------- * ----------------- * ----------------- * ----------------- * ---------------- *

Well, what i actually meant with these words was that...
I once used to have a great life... full of friends and fun, which is not the situation now.

I'm now 22, and ever since i'm 3... i used to have a heck lot of friends. I have studied in 7 schools in 6 cities, 2 colleges and in a University... that i have earned myself a very good amount of friends.

It all started in my 6th at an age of 11, that i have created a 'Yahoo ID' and started chatting with People in Yahoo's Chat rooms...! At that time, Internet was not much found in India... Which made me have only Foreign friends that time :)

      My life changer in the aspect of Friends was, when i was in Pune in my 7th, where, with the love of Pokemon, i have made a very huge number of friends. But ofcourse... only with the intention of having more Pokemon collectibles. So, those friendships didn't stand out...! (But still.. there were a few i liked, even if they doesn't have any collectibles with them ;) They are still in my FB now :)

It was in pune itself, that i have decided to start speaking with girls... when i reach Andhra pradesh... since i have had none since then, with the problem of 'Not knowing Hindi', and 'I being busy with pokemon'...!

So, on my return to Andhra... i have got access to girls as well :)
Then came 'O R K U T' into my life. It was at an age of 15, that i have started establishing an Empire via Social Networking...! I was one of the 1st Million users of Orkut at that time...! Later, orkut got more and more users, and i have got more and more friends as well :) I have seen Orkut grow into a huge Phenomenon... by being there...all the time.

I used to have more than 300 friends on Orkut... of which, not more than 50 were known to me in real life. Just bcoz... people in Andra concentrate more on studies than on things as such. But still, Orkut gave me very good friends, who are still in my Best buddy's list...! :)

When i was decided to join in GITAM University to pursue my engineering...
My real Orkut life has started. Joined communities, got to know more people, got more friends and so on.

My Intermediate or '+2'... was totally a night mare, and have got only... People who mock me, tease me, and make fun of me :| Generally, inter is an age to build foundations for better career, and for better friendships of life...! But all i have got from it, due to my sick behavior was... "NOTHING and No ONE"...!

I wanted my Engineering life to be totally different to that, and i was mostly successful in that. Got many friends, very good classmates, lots of acquaintances and many more. Had great Memories (Tours, Partys, Outings, Meetups, Bunks etc); Achievements (Short films, Good grades, Job etc) and great Life as well...!

But i still feel low about it, as i have observed...
People who are Rich,  People who have Height, People who are Active and Initiative, People who look Good, or People who prove themselves in Acads or such related stuff.... are the only one's who get Respect and Recognition. I am obviously not much into any such qualities... so obviously didn't get any such things as well...! :|

But still... have earned a wide recognition among a lot of friends, with the few things i have. I gained attention in 1st Year, among my classmates, when i have lost my 'Phone' to a senior, as a part of Ragging.

Later, i have visited Japan, and that gave me some recognition in my Branch. Then came Short-films, which have increased my levels of recognition to other branches too :) I... at a point of time had more than 250 contacts in my phone, and used to chat with most of them... Day and Night...! :)

I used to escape or hide from my mom, just to have a conversation with the one i like...! Did this for years... hmm...almost 6 years... from 15 to 21...! :)

I have spent more than half of these 6 years with friends only. Used to chat and chat and chat and chat... and never have i concentrated on Studies or anything useful for life...! But still... i'm lucky that i'm not so bad at Life and Studies...! :) Have had, thousands of Friends, Chatted with many hundreds, and have met and spent lots of quality time with a few hundreds, as well :)

Now, the situation is all different... and the number of people who are with me, and people who chat with me is into 20's...! It's all bcoz of my Attitude, which has changed veryyyy Weirdly, as i have entered my 22nd year... that i have started ignoring people, and have stopped caring them... :| (I still REGRET this ATTITUDE of Mine, but unable to Overcome it...! :'(

This has only resulted in, people moving away from me....! :|
From Thousands to Hundreds to Twenties...! :|

But, I can still proudly say that... " My Mark Prevails, on my Friends "...! :)
i.e, "For the way i have behaved with my Friends, and for the Quality time i gave them...
I don't think they might Forget me so soon... and I'm sure... not many, might have forgotten me...by now....!" :)

Cricket - The Killer (of) Sport(s) in India

I’m an Indian and like every other Indian kid, even i was exposed to a lot of cricket- on TV, on the grounds, on the roads and in the classroom. Cricket being considered a Religion in India... I have never had any option, but to enjoy it and admire it...!

It never felt ridiculous that the slow, languorous game that goes on for days together and a spectator wouldn’t have missed much, even if he missed out on an entire day of a game! No, I’m not here to curse test cricket and other forms; but 5 candid reasons why I hate this Gentleman’s game, are...

1) It was just too slow
I know many would argue that this is the very reason why T20 was introduced and arguments on those lines but still, there is too much of idle time. I can make pop corn, eat it, wash my hands, play a computer game and still when I come back, the bowler would be running in to bowl. All the tactics and field settings might increase the anxiety, but for me it just got too dull.

2) No Global Adoption
I wouldn’t consider a country a World Champion because they are the best amongst some 12 countries. Now, that’s the definition of being statistically insignificant. Yes, no one stopped the other countries from participating but the very fact that no one else decided to show up tells one that hardly anyone cares. Maybe India with its billion people is a main reason why it can still be considered a popular sport. I want to see more countries play this sport. I’m bored of the same ties.

3)  They Play It Too Often
Maybe because there are such few countries playing the sport, they keep on playing so that it gives an impression that everyone is playing cricket. The same two teams keep on playing each other all the time till they know each other so well that you wouldn’t be surprised the players paying visits to the opposition’s relatives.

4) Football is simply more interesting
Come on, let’s accept it. I was introduced to football and it just took the carpet off under my feet. I was thrilled. The through balls, the lofted pass, the perfect free kick, the sweet volley and the thundering bullet; all are very strong visuals. Short, crisp and to the point, football is a true global sport. Let’s play more.

Once you are into Football, and let it spread through your veins, you will never stop enjoying it.
It is being played by almost 170+ Countries, and that itself shows... How good it is...! :)

5) Hate it, as they Killed Other Games
Well, i accept that Indian Cricket team does perform well, and gives Indians the taste of Victory. But i seriously hate the Unanimous craze this game has, in India. I just hate the way people support this game, and doesn't care any other game in India.
*Hockey being the National sport is never cared.
*Football being the Sports King of the World is not Supported; and the players are not Funded. No Sponsors, no craze, no recognition, no support.
* Tennis was watched at a point of time, when Sania Mirza used to play. But not anymore.
* Badminton has gained some craze, because of Saina Nehwal; but even here, the story is same.
* Wrestling and Shooting have earned India some Medals and Respect in Olympics. People shared the News and Pictures, gave the players a bit of Applause... and soon forgot them :|

On the other hand, Cricketers are Highest Paid, Youth Icons, Celebrities and a Lot more...!
Come on yar... WTF...is this...?!?

I would just say.... ”Dear Cricket, you just weren’t sticky enough, and I hate the way you killed other sports in India.”

P.S. I still sit down for a India-Pakistan game for old times’ sake.
Also, i follow the matches in which, i might have a Bet with a Friend or two...
Just to see how i am Winning some money, or how i am losing some...! ;) :)

My Time Travel to Japan

Monday, October 1, 2012

       It was in the year 2008 that my dad got transferred to Tokyo, Japan; on a 3 year term from 'Bank of India'. So, with the reason of visiting him for summer, i have lived my dream of landing in a foriegn place, and that too in one of the world's best places. I have been to Japan thrice, for 3 summers until 2011, and even did my 'Internship project' in a Japanese Company named 'Infortech', with my College mate... Sandesh.

        Japan...'the land of rising sun', being comprised of 6,852 islands in all, and being 3rd largest economy in the world, can be considered... one of the best countries in Asia, as well as in the World.

        The 1st moment i have landed in Japan, i was outcold with the sudden climatic changes of around 35 degrees in India to < 15 degrees in Tokyo. My dad came and recieved me, my mom and my sis. My dad used to stay in 6th floor of the 52 floors of 'Bloom tower', in 'Shibaura island'. On my way home from airport...i was like..":O" with an open-mouth...! :D

       The Japanese have a very different culture when compared to any other country in the world. The way they look, eat, work, walk, pray, celebrate festivals, play sports, develop technologies, enjoy nature, greet people, build houses in the shapes of Pagoda's and the way they maintain their cities... is very unique.

        In my 1st visit to Japan, i was like..."Am i in heaven?". I was struck with astonishment by every single thing around me, as every thing was different in its own way. The luxurious buildings, technology assisting at every step, well planned traffic and well built cities, super cool nature and climate... were a few things, which made me feel so. I had visited some Important cities like Hiroshima, Kobe, Osaka, Nagoya, Yokohama, Kyoto; and some Important places like Mt. Fuji (highest peak in Japan), Great Buddha in Kamakura;  Kinkaku ji temple; Torii gate etc.

          I and my sister used to go for long outings in the local metro rails, and have covered up a large portion of the Tokyo city. This helped me to accompany and show almost all the places to be seen...to my friend and class mate - Sandesh, who had accompanied me in my 3rd visit to Tokyo, to my dad. This time, it was not a visit of fun. We were there on some official work - Internship at Infortech (a Japan based software company). We started working in Infortech in may'2011 and worked for 60 days until july'2011. The work atmosphere was great and we savoured each and every moment of our time at office.

        We also had great weekends there. We used pack our bags and go out early in the morning of saturday, and reach back only in the mid-nights of sunday... totally tired with less than 5% of energy remaining. We have been to Disney land, which was a trip to remember forever. The most tiresome one was our visit to a far away island, where we went through two hills and a cave...! Awesome experience on field :) We had been to many Malls, and did lots of shopping as well :)

          There are certain things, apart from climate, nature, enjoying and having luxurious life, or comfortable stay... which have dragged my attention towards Japan and which left me no choice...but to fall in Love with the Country of Japan...!

          A few notable things can be:
1) Even after such a catastrophe - Bombing of the only Nuclear missile in war, to date... they have come up with such a unity and hard work that... 'Hiroshima' is one of their major cities right now, with lots of skycrapers and with almost everything, any other city will have. I was amazed to see the way they have turned up Hiroshima, which was completely opposite to my imagination.

2) The Japanese govt takes care of children below 13 years and elders over 60 years of age with all the required necessities, by providing funds... to encourage Marriages and Families (as Japanese people won't prefer to marry and prefer to stay single)

3) Upon my 2nd visit to Japan in 2010, FIFA WC @ Africa, was in full pace and Japan was the only country to get qualified from Asia. That dragged my interest towards Football, and now... Football has become a part of my life, and routine.

4) They also have...
* World's tallest Transmission tower - Tokyo sky tree;
* World's fastest bullet trains - Shinkansen 700N;
* World's largest music market, with a total retail value of 4,096.7 million $;
* The only man-made Airport, at Osaka - made by sinking 3 war ships;
* One of the 5 Disney land, and one and only Disney sea theme parks of the world;
* One of the 4 Universal studio theme parks;
* Large man made aquariums at Sea paradise;
* They are the leading developers of Auto mobiles, Manga books, Nintendo and Play-station games, Pokemon, Doraemon and several thousands of animation wonders, which are still the kid's favourites;
* A very huge pack of skycrapers in almost every city;

          Also, I could keenly observe and capture on my camera... every single notable thing about Japan, and their living.
* They trust people a lot and leave everything to people, on trust.
* They take care of every single aspect of the country unitedly and that is why, they sought such a great advancement in almost all the fields.
* They does have corruption, but not in root levels, and this helped them in better development.
* They are hard working, and unemployment is almost nil, as they have lots of openings in various fields.
* They are mostly literates and not any beggars or homeless can be seen around.
* They are highly punctual, and have their own rules to be followed, and they does follow them perfectly.
* They have a great love for Sports... and 'Sumo wrestling' is considered their National sport, along with Karate, Judo, Archery, Ninja, Sword fight, and 72 such martial arts... each originated from different regions. They also have successful Baseball and Football teams - which are One of the top teams in the world.

          Now...who can deny falling in love with such a place of Perfection... which has everything a person needs... to have a happy life. So, even i did fall for its beauty. My days in Japan were the best in my life... in all aspects. Many friends of mine tease me now saying..."You are more into Japan. Come to India" or "Japan boy" and so on. It is not that i boast about the country a lot. Its just that i feel happier and excited... when i start speaking about this place... of My Love :) <3>
