A Fan Vs A Glory Hunter!

Tuesday, August 26, 2014

"New Players, New Manager, New Season. But same old result. I cant support this useless team. Barcelona, here i come." - Said a Manchester United "Fan" on his FB account this morning, after Manchester United's losing streak. Seriously??

This is just today's news. But in general, whenever any Sports team loses a match or a few in a run... its so called "Fans" become calm and some start hating it or shifting teams too.
In case of National teams, since we do not have a choice, we complain and stay calm. But with Sports teams, its different.

Until last year, Manchester United fans were on fire. In India, where those who doesnt even know in which league Manchester United plays, have also call'ed themselves as fans!! Celebrated their victories. Mocked other teams.
Ask me, how many harsh moments I had got to face, being a Manchester City fan. Undergone a lot of Humiliation.
A lot more than i got to face with 'Kolkata Knight Riders', which came in bottom Two for initial seasons.

But times changed. It happens. that is the greatness of Time. It is never on one's side forever.
In the last 3 years, KKR and Manchester City went on to win the league Twice, in 2012 and 2014 respectively. This has shut many mouths, but many are still infuriated and keep seeking some points to cover up their Jealousy and boasting about their History. Who lives in History? History is done and is just for papers! The present and Future is something, which matters.

So the point is : A Fan is someone, who doesnt give up hope on their team, irrespective of its Winning or Losing streaks! But a Glory hunter would be one, who shifts the gear towards any winning team, away from the team he supports, when is in a bad phase.

By giving some time, any one can rise to achieve the heights. Its not how we did, that matters. It matters only if we did it or not. Each victory has a story behind it. Whether you like it or not depends on how you see!

Tip : While seeking a Relationship, go for a Fan, who has 'Loyality' in his Blood. He wont leave you for a better person even when you are in a bad phase.
Learn the difference between a Fan and a Glory Hunter!

~ Me? I just am a proud fan of Manchester City, Kolkata Knight Riders and a few, each in each Sport! ~

#IceBucketChallenge-Commoners of India

Wednesday, August 20, 2014

Introduction

Ice Bucket Challenge which is popular now on Internet is an activity which was first started around April 26th,2014 involving taking a dip in cold watered river or donating to the ALS Association in the United States, if failed to take up the challenge! Since getting into river is dangerous, the rules were changed to an activity involving dumping a bucket of ice water on one's head by June 30th,2014.

Ice Bucket Challenge went viral on social media and became a pop culture phenomenon, particularly in the United States, with numerous celebrities, politicians, athletes, and everyday Americans posting videos of themselves online and on TV, participating in the event.

On August 18, 2014, the ALS Association announced that it had received $15.6 million in donations compared to $1.8 million during the same time period (July 29 to August 18) in the prior year.

For further details and Notable Participants list, follow : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_Bucket_Challenge
or

Rules

Within 24 hours of being challenged, participants are to video record themselves in continuous footage. First, they are to announce their acceptance of the challenge followed by pouring ice into a bucket of water. The bucket is then to be lifted overhead and poured over the participant's head. Then the participant can call out a challenge to other people.

Mark Zuckerberg, taking up the Ice Bucket Challenge

A common stipulation is that nominated people have 24 hours to comply or forfeit by way of a charitable financial donation which is to donate $10 if they have poured the ice water over their head and donate $100 if they have not.

Proposal

In India, we ourselves have many charitable trusts and NGO's which are in need of some support.
Ice Bucket Challenge which is expanding through out the world now, can be both fun to ourselves and doing good to our Nation's needy.

So, if the nominated people accept the challenge, they will have to challenge Three others first and then film their video while participating in the action, within 24 hours of acceptance. If the nominated people fail to take up the challenge, they can donate to any charitable trust in India of their wish, before ending the chain. Even those who have accepted the challenge can donate, based on their interest.

People can take the help of below links if needed!

Charitable trusts accepting a Minimum of 100INR or more.

Charitable trusts accepting a Minimum of 250INR or more.

A small attempt towards something good. Let us try not to end this Chain soon! Challenge those you think can make a difference!

Tips to save Facebook account from getting Hacked!

Wednesday, August 13, 2014

My Facebook account was not just a Social Media I use to be in touch with my Friends. It was a lot more to me. I was admin for 12 Pages and 4 groups. It was most likely a diary to me, with many Public and Private posts and photos. It was also a collection of my Likes and Interests, along with my Bio.

On 12th'Aug'14 at 3:22pm, while I was editing my Profile, which I often do, my account got logged out and said that the password was changed at 3:21pm. I had been logged-in since an hour and I didn't change my password.

Within seconds, I started the process of recovery but before I could reach out my friends for help on recovery of my hacked account, the hacker deleted my Contact details and the FB account itself.

If an account is hacked, You can always get it back with the help of your friends or the e-mail or phone number, you have specified in your profile. But if the hacker deactivates your account, you cannot get it back, until the hacker himself activates it again! (Which he would obviously not do!)

So, it was most likely a Dead-lock situation with no-way-out! If someone were seeking a revenge, then they can rest in peace now, for successfully causing this loss to me!

Many friends of mine tried to help me. But no use. I myself have read many blogs on net, but none could help me.
So, from my experience yesterday, I could derive a few things, which might help someone else in future, to not lose something they love!

1. First and foremost: Facebook WILL NOT HELP YOU out ever. We all know that they hold the highest number of accounts and largest user Database and supporting such large user base is very tough. But still, there should be some way to contact them with our issues. But unfortunately, there aren't any.

While going through blogs i found hundreds of people losing thousands of pages/accounts to hackers. Facebook never came to their rescue. Just like me, everyone else re-created a new account. After all, who would pay the cost of leaving FB?

2. DO NOT SIGN UP with Facebook credentials in every website you come across. Two days back i signed up into some Auto-like generator websites and today, i paid the price. So, never share your credentials to unpopular sites.

3. If you administer any Pages or Groups, its better to have at least Two admins. So that if either of them loses their account, their Group or Page will not be admin-less! Of course i read a case, where the hacker hacked an account and removed all the 20 admins in a minute, to claim the page! Still, we should take a chance.

4. Place 3 Trusted friends; Update your secret question and Update your e-mail address/Phone number. But do not keep them publicly visible. Always keep your contact details hidden.
If the hacker doesn't delete either of them, there are chances to regain your account. Of course in my case, he was a talented guy and changed every detail of mine in 2 minutes!

5. Follow this link, http://alturl.com/dw44f, if you ever lose your account or admin rights to a page you own. This is the ONLY WAY TO TALK TO Facebook guys. Other than this, there is no way to get their attention. [[After 3 days from writing this blog: As mentioned in this link, I could get FB support staff attention. After explaining them my problem and submitting some proofs like Pan card and Passport copies, I could get back my Hacked Account back, successfully!]]

6. There are many ways to show us, how can we hack a persons account. For exp, Blogs: http://virtualspotx.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/how-to-hack-someones-facebook-account/ or, hacking software's, like:
But there aren't any to save us from getting hacked and losing our pages, groups and stuff. So, be careful.

7. DO NOT KEEP SAME PASSWORD for all your online accounts. Even if you do, keep changing them often. This way, you might just lose your one online account and that wont effect other mail accounts or bank accounts.

8. Optional : Do not depend too much on online accounts. Do not keep every detail of yours, there. I like to SHOW-OFF and generally spend hours, editing my profile. It really ain't that much worth! Also, the hacker might misuse your data in many ways.

So, keep off. Stay Safe. I wish no one will ever face situations like these.
If you are facing any... I wish you good luck to get back, what is rightfully yours!

Tips and Detailing of Stock Markets and Stock Trading!

Wednesday, August 6, 2014

Before i could get going, i would like to shout out loud,
"Buying Stocks is not Gambling!"
Yes, we have a wide range of misconceptions on Stock markets but to be very clearly speaking, trading stocks is not equivalent to gambling. The concept might be similar: We put money on something and based on its performance, we win or lose. But the key difference is that, gambling is a matter of luck and sometimes statistics. But with stocks, its only knowledge.

Basically, the concept of stocks is very simple. Any company which has gained some name in open world and is preferring to expand its business will come for public issue. Then, normal public who has an interest or some knowledge in this company will apply for 'shares'. Once the shares are issued and money gets collected, that company will proceed with its undertakings. Based on its positive performances and results, its share holders will seek certain profit from the company either in the form of 'Dividends' or 'Bonus shares'; and when a company fails to deliver what it has set out to achieve, the share holders will lose their money.
i.e, We invest in a company. They do their business with our money. If they are profited, we share their profit. If they are in loss, we will have to bear their loss too.

Some times, a company might receive more than the expected number of applications during public issue. Then, on a lottery basis shares will be allotted. A single share in a company will have a face value between 1rs to 10rs. But, based on the demand and certain other factors, the share price at the time of issue will vary. For exp, a company named IMCF is doing good and when they decide to come to public issue, they might place the price range at 30rs per share (which has a face value of 10rs) or so.

Once the company gets listed in market, some might just hold the shares they got issued, but others would who prefer to make profit will sell them at a price of 32rs per share or so. All those who could not get in public issue will try to buy now. Once someone bought a share at 32rs, will try to sell it at 35rs for profit. As long as the company is doing well, everyone will gain profit. Thus, a single share price might go on up to 50,000rs too (for exp, MMTC). When such thing happened, MMTC had cut the face value of a share to 1rs from 10rs and a bonus of 1:1 was issued, making a single share cost around 2500rs odd. This enabled even common people to grab a share.

So, having a profound knowledge on a company before you invest in it, will be very fruitful. Investing in emerging companies might be a run with luck, but investing on well established companies will be very profitable.

Most importantly, never put all your eggs in one basket. i.e, Do put only that excess money you are left with, after meeting all your needs, but not the whole lot you have. Because if you put all your money on a company and it doesn't do well for sometime and an emergency shows up, you will have to sell them at a loss. Instead, if you are trading with excess money, you can give that company, the time it needs to get back to profits. Thus, loss can be avoided.

Then, another area where people might get loss is, 'Intraday Trading', where we get some amount from the 'Online stock broker', with whom we have our account. With that money we can trade and by the end of the day, if our trading sought profit, we can take it. But if our trades end up in loss, we will have to pay it on our own. i.e, if it was our money, we can give that company some time until it gets to profit. But in intraday, you will have to bear the loss.

In India, we have NSE - National Stock Exchange. A place, where every company in India, will be listed. By visiting, www.nseindia.com, we can learn about any company. If we find it worthy, can invest.

Then, SENSEX - Sensitive Index, is the average of all the companies. Every second, while the market is open, the average growth or fall of all the companies will be calculated and updated, indicating the overall status of market.
Say, SENSEX is at 3000pts yesterday and by today, it is 3500pts. That means, price average of all the companies yesterday is 3000. Today, all the companies in NSE have gained profits and todays average is 3500pts. This shows that the market is in rise.

Then, we have NIFTY - Top 50 companies of NSE, investing in which will have a reduced risk of losing money.

To open a stock trading account, you will need a 'Demat account' which is linked with your bank account and you need to sign up with any of the 'Stock brokers', like Sharekhan or Motilaloswal or Indiabulls or 5paisa.com etc, who charge you for every transaction you do through them.

Then, before you buy a share in a particular company, go to www.nseindia.com and check its 52week high and 52week low price. If IMCF's current share price is 572rs and its 52Week high is 610rs and 52Week low is 250rs, then if you buy the share now, you might have an approximate profit of 38rs whereas loss can be upto 322rs. So, check before you invest.

Always give time to the company in whom you have invested. Most of the times, profits might not come over-night.

Sometimes, companies share their profits in the form of dividends. Total profit divided by number of shares will be the dividend money.

Always watch out for 'Public issues'. You might just grab a few shares at a good price in a company which might do very well in future. Of course many companies disappoint after public issue though. So, back ground check is important.

Thus, with certain knowledge, your money is always safe with you. In gambling, you put your money on a team or a player and by the end of the match, if they lose, your money is gone. But with stocks, its different. On day1, your investments might seek loss, but as time passes by and company grows, you will get better profits.

Not being a Myth-Buster!

Tuesday, July 15, 2014

In my childhood, i grew up having heard certain myths like...

- God has a book and he notes down everyone's Good and Bad deeds. If you do more bad deeds, you will have troubles in next life.
- If we do mistakes, we will go to Hell and based on the severity of the mistake, will be punished!
- Gods and Angels live in Heaven, while Demons live in Hell.
And many more, which will come under above categories, more or less!

I spent most of my childhood believing them and kept myself away from certain little mistakes like stealing, lying or fighting, etc. I think that was the main purpose to spread such Myths - To keep people away from 'Hurting others' and they solved the purpose very well.

But as time passed by and i grew up, i lost faith in such myths and i stole certain many things (90% of them being Pokemon collectibles! :P). I started to lie to everyone and there was a time i preferred lies to truth as i found them safer. I didn't go for any fighting's, but bad words started to flow as freely as water falls!!

But as time flew, i realized the pain of losing something important from me. The pain when someone lied to me and the pain when someone rebuked me! In all the cases, i was referring to 'Loved ones'! That did alter my life in lot better ways than those myths and made me chose the life of Truth and Being Human!

This has been the case with many people in present World. I mean, people started doing mistakes and are suffering very soon! So to be par with the transformation of the World, the myths transformed too! Earlier myths got busted and the new one's turned out to be like...

- If you do good, you will be good. If you do bad and hurt someone, you will get hurt, sooner or later in this life it self.
- 'Karma' is a Bitch and if you do mistakes, you will pay for them!
- There is only one Hell. The one, we are on.

These again are just Pure Myth's. A time will come, when these myths will get busted too. But until then, we can consider them to be striking the bulls-eye!

This has become the way of life, these days. Being good is being paid. So is being bad! But when you do Good, you cannot expect Good to happen and when you do Bad, you cannot expect to escape it either! Karma is such. It will never back down from surprising you in any way possible! But always prefer to be on the safer side and not to gamble with karma.

The other purpose of this blog is to express my views on the last one there ("There is only one Hell. The one, we are on!"), which has become my favorite! I think that sentence is unmistakably true, because sometimes even after being Good, we will be forced to pay high stakes!

Vihaan and the unraveling of truth

[Part 2 : http://agentbhv.blogspot.in/2014/07/vihaan-and-mrx.html ]

The same day. After few hours, from leaving the mysterious building of Mr.X.

"See, its dark as you wanted. What is your plan of action now?" asks Ojas and Vihaan understands his curiosity. So, with a simple smile, answers "Just wait for a while and i will give you some adventure."

An hour more passes by. Ojas kills his time with a game of chess in his mobile and Vihaan was so excited that he could kill the time by just sitting idle and letting his mind think! When time was ripe, Vihaan stands up to unplug the charger of a gadget, he always wanted to use and could never put to use till date, and says "Its time to go."
"What? Is it already? I thought you were going to test my patience, the whole night!" mocks Ojas.
"Haha" giggles Vihaan, and "We will have our dinner, once we are back. Ok?"
"Why did you mention it so particularly? We will be coming back, right?" doubts Ojas.
With another laugh, "For sure! Don't worry, i ain't gonna involve in you any trouble."

In no time, Ojas and Vihaan were standing in front of Mr.X's building!
"What are we doing here?" asks Ojas in a low voice, clear enough to notice that he was afraid, a bit.
"Don't you worry. Just a small work. Lets go." And as Vihaan proceeds, Ojas takes his steps as slowly as possible.
They go through the lawn to the posterior side of the building and to the window, that was open, this morning. Luckily, it was open then too.
Vihaan slowly drags it to see if anyone were there and finding none, points Ojas to handover the small bag, he held. When Ojas hands it over, Vihaan picks a bundle of metal sticks, each an arm length. They were interconnected to each other and when expanded will grow up to 6 feet long.

"What are you doing with these tent-house connectors?" asks Ojas.
"We need them now to put this pen camera there" and points to the place beside a bulb holder in the dusty and never to be cleaned false ceiling present in that room.
"Then what?"
"This pen camera has a recording time of 24hrs and it will send everything it records, to this receiver, but it should be under 100mts to receive the recording. If we are lucky, we can get all the proofs we need, by this time tomorrow! And, by placing it beside the over head bulb, will act as a flash and the recording will be clear. Also, placing it beside a CFL bulb will decrease the chances of getting spotted, as not many would see into the bulb directly!"
Vihaan expects Ojas to be flattered by his theory, but "Well, all your derivations are fine, but isn't it general human tendency to watch the bulb first as soon as he enters a room and switches it on?"
"I know. Im just taking chances. This is the only way to get the proofs. If we are lucky, we might get all we need even before sunset and they might not even switch on the light!"

With that, they give an end to talking and ties the 'pen' to the end of the stick and with some struggle, places it firmly in the place where they wanted it exactly. Confirming that it was fine, they leave.

The next morning, Vihaan and Ojas woke up a lot earlier than they are used to. Got ready and reached Mr.X's house. Maintaining a distance under 100mts, they start to get the recording, live! As they wait for Mr.X or others to show up, they discuss about every matter of the World that could strike their mind and could kill the time.

Soon, they see a few people walk into the room. Mr.X was there too, with a new bag of stuffed toys, who places them aside. Ojas and Vihaan, then see Mr.X and others pack the stuffed toys they bought the earlier day into separate boxes each, along with a sheet of paper with something being written on it.

Once the packing was done, Mr.X and two others carried those boxes away, while three other people stay back, with the new bag of stuffed toys.
Vihaan says "I want you to stay back and keep recording, as what will happen next is the vital point of their crime and we need proofs."
"Why, where will you be going?"
"I need to follow Mr.X and see what he does next. You be safe and keep posting me the updates. See ya!" and leaving Ojas back, Vihaan sets to follow Mr.X.

Luckily, none notice the camera and continue with their work. Vihaan had got his glance yesterday, so it was Ojas's turn to see the happenings. Mr.X and his gang weren't playing out with dead bodies or killing humans, but were focused in the process of making some! Ojas perceives.

Meanwhile, Vihaan follows Mr.X into a courier office. Vihaan had nothing to do, so he poses to be a customer with a query on postal price charges.  While talking to the representative there, standing beside Mr.X, Vihaan records the addresses that Mr.X was sending those boxes to, with his mobile phone. Those boxes were being sent to students of different colleges in Bangalore, Chennai, Pune and Mumbai. Soon, Vihaan takes his leave from there and by the time he reaches his house, Ojas was there.

"Done? Got all we wanted?" asks Vihaan.
"Yes. What about you? What did they do next?"
"I will show you. Lets get started" says Vihaan, and in few minutes all threads were connected.
"So this Mr.X's gang, buys stuffed toys from various shops. Cuts them open and fill them with various kinds of drugs. Stitches them back safely. Packs them and ships them to students from various colleges directly, to avoid any kind of physical interaction, but to keep the business growing and are pushing the students into a ceaseless quagmire of drug-addiction!" exclaims Ojas.
"Yes! They should be getting the money debited via online from students and then, should be sending them the parcel with fake names and identities. So that even if the parcel is caught, which is a very rare case as even if someone else receives the toy, they would only think that its filled with any material, but drugs. This way, they are being invincible!" concludes Vihaan.

Soon, without further delay Vihaan and Ojas put this story in front of police, with the help of Vihaan's dad who has some high level contacts in Police department. After going through the proofs and raiding Mr.X's house, police confirm them to be accused and the whole gang gains their place in Jail. After getting some details from the gang, strict orders gets passed to courier offices and colleges which were under the influence of drugs, to be careful while sending or receiving the parcels. With the money transaction details, Police could find out the individual students who were involved too. But in order not to spoil their lives by bringing them to lime light, very strict warnings were sent to them and the information was passed on to their parents as well.

In order not to invite any trouble, Vihaan and Ojas's identity remains concealed, but City's IAS officer and many others appreciate them personally for everything they have done. Hands them over, their 'pen camera' which was retrieved from Mr.X's house on Vihaan's request.

The next morning, the articles in news papers posted something like,
'Two software professionals spend their weekend in risking themselves to unravel the truth and expose an illegal drug trafficking gang, who had been having their operations from quite some time now. Police have had information about such dealings but couldnt gather the lead, until these two guys have sorted it out. (And the rest of the news followed). During our special interview, one of them said, "I was inspired from 'Sherlock' and this adventure has been so remarkable, that i'm craving to have more of it now." The other added, "When my friend doubted the head of this gang, i didn't trust him and thought he was getting insane. But from now on, i will join him in any adventure he will seek!" The detective duo claim this to be the proudest day of their lives! We wish them all the luck and strength, if they are bound to be on further adventures!'
