Addiction... a word with so very vast negativity that, many doesn't even want to have it in their bio! But to be precise, it is the driving force of every human on this planet and so, this word should be well Respected! Yes, indeed! Ok, let me explain in brief.
Without being addicted to their respective Dreams or Visions, no scientist would have ever Invented anything and we would still be leading the life of an early man (apes!). I contradict the saying, "Need is the mother of Invention", and would say, "Need will give you idea, but addiction will drive you to invent!"
Many people go to offices/schools or come back home soon, because they are addicted to their special someone's smile at workplace/home; Sportsmen reach such unattainable heights because they are addicted to hard work and brushing their talents; Businessmen grow rich over years because they are addicted to strategies that make money!
So, without Addiction, no one does anything. Sometimes addictions can be as small as a Game or a Book or some Serial/Movie or anything of that sort. But sometimes they can be as dangerous as Gambling or Sex or any Habit that might take your life!! These later one's always come into lime light and have spoiled the fame of this Word so much that, if your Google 'Addicted', you will get the images of Drugs, Gambling and Sex only! But that ain't everything!
As long as a person is not losing his money or pieces of his life everyday, which will hurt his dependents big time, any addiction is cool!
In fact, a man without an Addiction is not having a life! If someone is not addicted to someone's love or smile; not addicted to a game, book, movie so much that he couldn't sleep until its done; not addicted until she got 100 marks or a Gold medal; not addicted until he lived every dream, off his 'Wishlist'; not addicted until she completed what she had started... then what life is being lived?
So, at one point or other, we were all Addicts to something, let it be a habit, hobby, person, passion, thing, dream, wish, religion, fun or state of being!
Just see that your Addictions are under your own control and are leading you to a Better tomorrow, but not into an Oblivion which might fill your life with regret forever!
Always be Addicted to something and give your life a meaning, and be proud to say it loud that, "I am Addicted!".
